They’ve used force again.
SM Entertainment has been under fire recently for its security guards.
Most recently, an NCT WISH fan posted about being hit by a security guard at the airport. The post went viral online, garnering over 1.3 million views. Below is the message by the OP written in English.
(@cureforiku0628) June 13, 2025
“Hello everyone, I apologize for disturbing you with such matters. Today at the airport, I experienced something that still shocks and terrifies me to this day. A WISH security guard gestured for me to step aside, as I was about to leave but couldn’t get through right away due to the large crowd at the scene. He, however, had no patience and pushed me against the wall with force.
I was pushed in pain and turned to him, saying ‘Please don’t push anymore,’ because I really couldn’t leave. He actually raised his hand and struck my head with great force. That was too heavy, and my head is still clearly uncomfortable to this.
Currently, driven by an instinctive instinct to protect my personal safety, I engaged in justifiable defense. Of course, given the significant physical and physical differences, my protect to myself is still very weak. Thus, the security guard even wanted to continue attacking me further. If it weren’t for a rational manager promptly stopping him, unimaginable consequences might have occurred… …I’m still trembling when I think about it now.
At the time, there were no wish members around. I was also not close to any member. I have kept evidence of my injuries and would hesitate to disclose it if necessary. This is not just about protecting myself; it is also about telling everyone that no one should be treated so brutally without just cause. Over the past year and a half, I have participated in many activities to take beautiful photos, experiencing numerous injustices, and have silently endured them. But today, the security guards’ actions have completely exceeded what I could bear. I will never forget this violence, and I can’t easily forgive it.”
With this viral post, others began speaking up about being the security guards and how they were using force even on passerbys.

“The SM security guards are really taking it too far these days. I don’t know the OP, but I’ve always wanted to talk about this but never had the chance. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to do so now.
When I arrived in Seoul, many fans were waiting at the boarding exit. But a non-fan saw a crowd of people and said, ‘Oh, must be an idol’ and tried to escape quickly. But that person’s arm was grabbed by the security guard and pushed outside with force. When I saw that, I asked if they were ok, and they said they were pressed so hard it hurt. There was even blood on the wound. This picture was taken after the wound was treated. If throwing someone like trash and slamming them into a door isn’t violence, then what is?”

These guys are so annoying. I went on a business trip for work and rode in business class. But, NCT WISH’s security guard saw me in the business line and pushed me, thinking I was a fan girl. I got so mad that I stepped on their foot. My colleague, a man, started going all out on the security guard, so he finally apologized. These b*stards are looking down on me because I’m a girl.
Seeing this, netizens were absolutely disgusted at the behavior of the security guards.

- “You can’t even call them security guards….those are gangsters.”
- “They think that all young women are fans and are just beating them up.”
- “I’m not interested in who they are, just don’t cause problems to the general public.”
- “Why is SM continuing to use a company that commits violence?”
- “You have to report these b*stards right away.”
Meanwhile, SM’s security guards previously garnered much attention for applying force on a fan who bumped into Hearts2Hearts’ Ian.
