On September 17, an actress’s first-ever fan meeting in Malaysia took an emotional turn.
Shen Yue is a Chinese actress, singer and model who is best known for her leading roles in the TV series A Love So Beautiful (2017), Meteor Garden (2018), Count Your Lucky Stars (2020), and Mr. Bad (2022). In Meteor Garden, her breakout role, she played the protagonist Dong Shancai, a poor student who becomes involved with a quartet of elite male students, F4.
Eight years after debuting, Shen Yue finally met her Malaysian fans in person for the first time during her fan meeting at Zepp Kuala Lumpur. She played games, sang songs, and interacted with fans, who brought her to tears by playing a special tribute video they had made for her.
“There are always such videos at fan meetings. Even though I know what fans would say, I still cry every time,” Shen Yue confessed. “I don’t know how else to express my feelings but to say thank you.”
When the fan meeting came to an end, Shen Yue broke down in tears again, promising them that she would return to Malaysia for another fan meeting. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, she couldn’t sing all the songs she had prepared for them.
