A female idol will be releasing her first photobook, currently titled “Untitled (TBA),” later this month.
21-year-old Taguchi Manaka is a member of the popular Japanese idol girl group AKB48. After joining the group as a trainee, she debuted as an official member in December 2017 at 13 years old. She also has some acting experience under her belt. In 2023, Manaka made her stage acting debut in the play Diamond wa Kizutsukanai and her on-screen acting debut in the web series Sentika F8ABA6 Jisariz.
Through her photobook, which was shot in Taiwan, Manaka hopes to show fans a “completely different” side of herself.
I’ve always wanted to release a photobook as an AKB48 member – it’s been one of my dreams. This time, I wanted to show a completely new side of myself, which is why I chose Taiwan for the shoot. There are so many different styles and moods we explored – it’s packed with variety and I think fans will find it exciting to flip through!
