MBC’s upcoming drama “To the Moon” has unveiled its premiere date along with its first poster!
Based on the novel of the same name, “To the Moon” tells the survival story of three working-class women who struggle to live on their salaries and turn to cryptocurrency investing. The cast includes Lee Sun Bin as Jung Da Hae, Ra Mi Ran as Kang Eun Sang, Jo Aram as Kim Ji Song, and Kim Young Dae as Ham Ji Woo.
The new poster shows a train racing toward a massive moon, surrounded by glittering gold coins. The tagline, “A ride on the coin train that can turn life around,” hints at the journey of the three women dreaming of a better life.
A closer look reveals the silhouettes of three figures in a window towards the front of the train. Standing side by side with their shoulders touching in a pose that highlights their strong bond of friendship, Lee Sun Bin, Ra Mi Ran, and Jo Aram are shown setting out on a journey “To the Moon.”
The dazzling city nightscape in the background symbolizes the harsh reality the story’s main characters face, while the train that rises above it represents the bold choices of the three leads as they break free from that reality. The bright headlights shining from the front of the train represent their determination and hope for a new future as they attempt to turn their lives around.
The production team commented, “Our drama tells the story of ordinary people dreaming of a slightly better future. We will depict the main characters’ anxiety, excitement, and hope as they ride the coin train toward the moon in a way that is both realistic and entertaining. We hope viewers will watch and look forward to their journey and bold pursuit of the future.”
“To the Moon” is set to premiere on September 19 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
