She took her final bow.
A singer who is as well-known for her beautiful voice as she is for her unaging visuals is officially retiring after 22 years on the stage.
Michishige Sayumi is a Japanese singer, actress, model, and a former sixth-generation member of the J-Pop girl group Morning Musume. Having debuted in Morning Musume in 2003 and graduated from it 11 years later in 2014, Sayumi is one of the group’s longest-lasting members.

On August 14, Sayumi took her last bow at the end of her solo live tour, SAYUMINGLANDOLL~SAMSALA~, in Tokyo, Japan.

Sayumi began her idol career at 13 years old and ended it at age 36 in front of an audience of adoring fans who’d had eight months to prepare for her farewell.

Sayumi announced her retirement in January in a blog post.
Over 22 years in entertainment, my fans have always been by my side. I am filled with gratitude. For the next few months until my farewell tour, I will give everything I can, and spend time laughing and enjoying myself with my beloved fans.
