JTBC’s upcoming drama “A Hundred Memories” has shared a sneak peek of Kim Jung Hyun’s special appearance!
Set in the 1980s, “A Hundred Memories” is a nostalgic coming-of-age romance drama about the friendship between two young bus attendants, Go Young Rye (Kim Da Mi) and Seo Jong Hee (Shin Ye Eun), and their shared first love Han Jae Pil (Heo Nam Jun).
Kim Jung Hyun will play the role of Jung Hyun, an unexpectedly innocent third-generation chaebol heir who has lived a privileged life. The eldest son of the family that owns the leading electronics company of the era, Jung Hyun also has a brilliant mind that gets him admitted to a prestigious law school in Seoul at the top of his class. Although he routinely cuts class when he wants to have fun, he still manages to maintain excellent grades.
In the drama, Jung Hyun falls for Go Young Rye, who is the younger sister of one of his friends. Seeing Go Young Rye work hard every single day as a bus attendant and struggle to make ends meet, Jung Hyun feels sorry for her, but he is also charmed. Hoping that Young Rye will be able to live the life she wants, Jung Hyun winds up watching over her as a dependable source of support.
“Jung Hyun, who is played by Kim Jung Hyun, is a charming character who is hiding an unexpected innocence behind a mix of wit and luxurious elegance,” said the drama’s production team. “Although it’s only a special appearance, [Kim Jung Hyun’s] importance and impact within the story are absolutely not insignificant. Each and every scene in which he appears adds depth to the story, and hew ill also bring about a decisive change in the characters’ emotions.”
