MBC’s new drama “Mary Kills People” has unveiled tense stills of Lee Bo Young and Lee Min Ki ahead of tonight’s episode!
A remake of the Canadian series of the same name, “Mary Kills People” stars Lee Bo Young as Woo So Jung, an ER doctor who illegally provides euthanasia for patients with incurable illnesses. Lee Min Ki plays Jo Hyun Woo, a terminal brain tumor patient with no remaining treatment options.

In the first two episodes, Woo So Jung—a skilled emergency physician—was revealed to be secretly aiding those who wish to end their lives on their own terms. Amid her covert work, she formed a subtle emotional connection with Jo Hyun Woo, a terminal cancer patient seeking assisted death. But the story took a shocking turn when Hyun Woo was revealed to be Detective Ban Ji Hoon, who is working undercover.
The newly released stills capture a tense standoff triggered by a single phone call that shifts So Jung’s gaze toward Hyun Woo with piercing suspicion. The scene begins with So Jung visiting Hyun Woo to help him make his final choice. As they sit across from each other preparing for the procedure, she suddenly freezes after answering an unexpected call.
Her eyes harden with sharp wariness, while Hyun Woo—oblivious to the reason—studies her with caution. Having once shared even a kiss with him, So Jung now finds herself torn between trust and betrayal, compassion and fear. The mystery deepens: what was said in that call that rattled her to the core?
The production team teased, “This scene marks a turning point that completely upends Woo So Jung and Jo Hyun Woo’s relationship. In Episode 3, prepare for a heart-stopping twist and see whether So Jung finally uncovers Hyun Woo’s true identity as a detective.”
The next episode of “Mary Kills People” will air on August 8 at 10 p.m. KST.
