The upcoming film “Project Y” has released its first poster and trailer!
Set against the backdrop of Seoul’s glamorous Gangnam district, “Project Y” is a crime film that follows Mi Seon (Han So Hee) and Do Kyung (Jeon Jong Seo), two close friends who have nothing but each other. Desperate to escape their harsh reality, they plot to steal 8 billion won (approximately $5.79 million) worth of gold bars and vanish without a trace.
The newly released poster instantly grabs attention with a striking image of Mi Seon and Do Kyung striding through the city at night. Do Kyung hides her expression under a low-slung cap, while Mi Seon keeps a sharp eye on their surroundings. Their vibrant, edgy fashion stands out against the dark backdrop, capturing the film’s funky, stylish tone. The tagline, “The plan was perfect,” adds a layer of intrigue to their unpredictable journey.
The accompanying trailer gives a taste of the film’s gritty energy and fast-paced action. As Mi Seon and Do Kyung prepare for the heist, Do Kyung’s line—“If we’re doing this, we’re going all in”—offers a glimpse into her fearless, no-holds-barred personality. Mi Seon matches her fire with the line, “Let’s go f**ing hard,” perfectly capturing the raw determination of two young women ready to risk it all.
Packed with car chases, adrenaline-fueled sequences, and punchy visuals, the trailer promises a wild ride through a stylish buddy-crime film. The phrase “Two accomplices. One shot. No regrets.” encapsulates the film’s bold and reckless spirit.
The trailer also introduces an exciting supporting cast lineup: Kim Shin Rok plays Ga Young, a senior figure to Mi Seon and Do Kyung, while Jung Young Joo makes a dramatic transformation—complete with a shaved head—for her role as Hwang So.
Lee Jae Kyoon joins as Seok Gu, a wildcard who throws a wrench into the duo’s carefully laid plans, while Kim Sung Cheol steps into the role of Boss To, a formidable villain who stands in their way.
