Yewon will be making a special appearance on the next episode of “My Girlfriend is the Man!”
Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “My Girlfriend is the Man!” is a romantic comedy about a college student whose girlfriend unexpectedly transforms into a man. ASTRO’s Yoon San Ha stars as Park Yoon Jae, an astronomy student who is head over heels for his girlfriend Kim Ji Eun (OH MY GIRL’s Arin). Due to a gene that runs in her family, Kim Ji Eun suddenly turns into a handsome man (played by Yoo Jung Hoo) and begins going by the name Kim Ji Hoon. Chuu plays Kang Min Joo, a popular student who secretly has a crush on Park Yoon Jae.

Previously on “My Girlfriend is the Man!”, Kim Ji Hoon (Yoo Jung Hoo), who turned into a man for the second time, invited Park Yoon Jae and Lee Min Hyuk (Hyun Jun) to his home. Also present was Choi Yoo Ri (Park Ju Won), the best friend of Kim Ji Hoon/Kim Ji Eun, whose face turned red at Kim Ji Hoon’s touch.
In the upcoming episode of the drama, actress Yewon will make a special appearance as Mina unnie, an acquaintance of Choi Yoo Ri and the author of the web novel “Clumsy OB-GYN.” Mina unnie invites Choi Yoo Ri to her party, where she oozes confidence and radiates star power as she mingles effortlessly with her friends while wearing a glamorous outfit. She also upsets Choi Yoo Ri by subtly teasing her in front of others and being deliberately annoying.
Later on, the handsome Kim Ji Hoon appears, drawing everyone’s attention. Although Mina unnie initially smiles at his arrival, her expression suddenly hardens because of something Kim Ji Hoon says, raising the question of what he could have said to upset the once-confident Mina unnie.
According to the drama’s production team, Yewon made a strong impression and showcased her commanding presence despite her brief screen time. With chameleon-like acting, she smoothly portrayed Mina unnie’s shifting emotions, ranging from smiles and embarrassment to seriousness and anger. Yewon also maintained a cheerful smile throughout filming, creating a warm atmosphere on set as she took commemorative photos with fellow cast members and staff.
Yewon shared her excitement by saying, “The character itself was fun, so I really enjoyed filming.” She added, “Even though [my time on set] was brief, my chemistry with the other actors was amazing.”
The production team remarked, “We sincerely thank actress Yewon for readily agreeing to make a special appearance,” before adding, “Her performance in Episode 5, which airs on August 6, will mark the start of a new ripple effect and change in the story. Please don’t miss it.”
