MBC’s new drama “Mary Kills People” has previewed a tense scene featuring Lee Bo Young and Lee Min Ki!
A remake of the Canadian series of the same name, “Mary Kills People” stars Lee Bo Young as Woo So Jung, an ER doctor who illegally provides euthanasia to patients with incurable illnesses. Lee Min Ki plays Detective Ban Ji Hoon, who goes undercover as Jo Hyun Woo, a terminal brain tumor patient with no treatment options.
In the newly released stills and teaser, Woo So Jung discovers Ban Ji Hoon collapsed in the middle of a busy road, surrounded by speeding cars. She rushes to him and stops the oncoming traffic before kneeling down and cradling him in her arms, her face filled with shock.
As she desperately calls his name and asks if he’s okay, the pale and barely conscious Ban Ji Hoon whispers, “Please help me. I want to end this.”
The production team commented, “This scene marks a major turning point in the relationship between Woo So Jung and Ban Ji Hoon. From the very first episode, ‘Mary Kills People’ will unfold with an intense, fast-paced narrative, so please stay tuned.”
“Mary Kills People” premieres on August 1 at 10 p.m. KST.
