KBS 2TV’s upcoming drama “Eunsoo’s Lucky Day” (literal translation) has unveiled a new poster featuring Kim Young Kwang!
“Eunsoo’s Lucky Day” follows the story of Kang Eun Soo (Lee Young Ae), a mother determined to protect her family, and Lee Kyung (Kim Young Kwang), a two-faced teacher, as they are drawn into a dangerous, desperate partnership after stumbling upon a bag of drugs.
Kim Young Kwang plays Lee Kyung, a man living a double life: by day, he is a popular after-school art teacher who graduated from a prestigious university, and by night, he is a mysterious nightclub MD whose true identity is unknown. At the middle school attended by Eun Soo’s daughter Soo Ah, he is adored by the female students. Behind the scenes, however, his name, age, and occupation remain a mystery. His life changes when Eun Soo, desperate for money, approaches him with a business proposal—and a bag of drugs.
The newly released poster shows Kim Young Kwang sitting in front of an easel in a sunlit room. However, his gaze is fixed not on the canvas, but on a Boston bag casually placed at his feet. His sharp eyes, contrasted with his calm expression, hint at Lee Kyung’s true identity hidden beyond the canvas.
The poster’s tagline, which touches on the harsh reality and complex inner world that Lee Kyung faces, asks the pointed question, “Does anyone in this world get rich just by doing good deeds?” Lee Kyung is a key figure who will build tension in the drama as he crosses the line between good and evil. Throughout the story, Kim Young Kwang will portray a character who remains calm while also revealing subtle, hard-to-read emotions.
The drama’s production team commented, “This teaser poster captures another side of Lee Kyung hidden beneath his calm appearance. The contrast between the warm image of a handsome art instructor sitting at an easel and his mysterious gaze pointed at the Boston bag symbolically represents Lee Kyung’s dual identity.”
They added, “Through [the poster’s] tagline, which is also an actual line from the drama, viewers can look forward to how Kim Young Kwang will portray Lee Kyung as he gradually transforms in unintended ways.”
“Eunsoo’s Lucky Day” is set to premiere on September 20 at 9:20 p.m. KST.
