MBC’s upcoming drama “Mary Kills People” has shared a sneak peek of veteran actress Son Sook’s special appearance in its first episode!
A remake of the Canadian series of the same name, “Mary Kills People” stars Lee Bo Young as Woo So Jung, a doctor who illegally provides euthanasia to patients with incurable illnesses. Lee Min Ki will play Jo Hyun Woo, a terminally ill patient with a brain tumor, while Kang Ki Young will play Choi Dae Hyun, a former plastic surgeon who helps Woo So Jung with her work.
In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming premiere, Woo So Jung and Choi Dae Hyun meet secretly with Lee Eun Young (Son Sook) by the sea. Amidst the quiet and desolate seaside, which Lee Eun Young has chosen as her favorite place, the two doctors discuss the patient’s final choice with warmth and sincerity. Sitting on the rocks by the sea, a calm and composed Lee Eun Young pats Choi Dae Hyun’s hand comfortingly with a small smile.
Woo So Jung’s gaze bears a certain weight as she gives Lee Eun Young her full attention, without once tearing her eyes away from the older woman. Choi Dae Hyun is similarly focused on Lee Eun Young’s words while wearing a kind expression amidst the tense situation.
With Lee Eun Young standing on the brink of life and death against this scenic backdrop, it remains to be seen what decision she will make. Meanwhile, Woo So Jung and Choi Dae Hyun listen to her with a complex mix of emotions flitting across their faces.
