“Omniscient Reader” has shared behind-the-scenes photos showcasing the cast’s chemistry on set!
Based on the popular web novel of the same name, “Omniscient Reader” is a film that tells the story of Kim Dok Ja (Ahn Hyo Seop), who suddenly finds himself living in the world of a fantasy novel he was reading. Armed with the knowledge of what happened in the novel, Kim Dok Ja sets out to save the world from ending. Lee Min Ho stars as Yoo Joong Hyuk, the protagonist from the novel that Kim Dok Ja read.
The newly released stills show the cast’s strong chemistry and the cheerful atmosphere on set. In contrast to the tense and spectacular situations they face in the film, the actors brighten the set with playful smiles and affectionate gestures toward one another.
Ahn Hyo Seop, who plays Kim Dok Ja, casually throws an arm around the shoulder of Shin Seung Ho, who plays Lee Hyun Sung, as they enjoy monitoring a take together. Setting aside their characters’ cold, strong demeanors, the two beam brightly off-camera, with their close teamwork on display.
Meanwhile, Lee Min Ho, who plays Yoo Joong Hyuk, looks at Kwon Eun Seong, who plays Lee Gil Young, with a loving gaze that contrasts sharply with his intimidating on-screen character.
Chae Soo Bin, who plays Yoo Sang Ah, and Nana, who plays Jung Hee Won, also lean on each other and rest together in between filming their physically demanding action scenes.
Shin Seung Ho, Chae Soo Bin, and Nana are seen making playful faces together through a subway window, suggesting they enlivened the atmosphere on set by joking around even while filming their intense action scenes.
A final photo captures BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, who plays Lee Ji Hye, having a warm conversation with director Kim Byung Woo.
“Omniscient Reader” is currently showing in theaters throughout South Korea.
