tvN’s “Head Over Heels” has shared new stills ahead of its upcoming episode!
“Head Over Heels” is a fantasy romance drama about a boy who is fated to die and the young shaman who tries to rescue him from his fate. Cho Yi Hyun stars as Park Seong A, a high school student who leads a double life as a shaman by night. Choo Young Woo plays her first love Bae Gyeon U, who is plagued by bad luck and was born with the misfortune of a predestined death.

In the previous episode, General Dong Cheon (Kim Mi Kyung) met her death due to the rampage of the vengeful spirit Bong Soo. Possessing Bae Gyeon U’s body, Bong Soo went berserk upon discovering Park Seong A’s plan to help him ascend to the afterlife. Meanwhile, Yeom Hwa (Choo Ja Hyun), who had obtained the silver ring harboring Bong Soo’s spirit, summoned a grim reaper, triggering a crisis. However, the grim reaper took General Dong Cheon instead of Bong Soo or Yeom Hwa, as she had been protecting Yeom Hwa with a human talisman.
The newly released stills capture Park Seong A and Bae Gyeon U on their sweet first date. The two are seen enjoying their happiest moment yet. However, the images showing Park Seong A crying while covering Bae Gyeon U’s eyes, and Bae Gyeon U all by himself, hint at an impending farewell. In the preview for episode 11, Park Seong A was heard saying, “I’ll definitely come back before graduation,” foreshadowing their parting. 
Another set of stills shows Park Seong A, Bae Gyeon U, and Yeom Hwa deep in the mountains at night, adding to the tension. Park Seong A, who is in the middle of a ritual, is shocked by the sudden appearance of Yeom Hwa. The cold gaze in Yeom Hwa’s eyes heightens the suspense. Most intriguing of all, Bae Gyeon U is seen drawing a bow wrapped in talismans, sparking curiosity. Viewers are eager to find out why Bae Gyeon U, who had been wandering in search of Park Seong A, is pulling the bowstring—and whether he has finally broken free from Bong Soo’s possession.
The production team stated, “In the upcoming episode, Park Seong A and Bae Gyeon U will be separated. Their choices to save each other will be portrayed in a heartbreaking way.”
Writer Yang Ji Hun had previously commented, “Please watch closely to see how the love between Seong A and Gyeon U—who refuse to let go of each other—ultimately reaches a happy ending.”
Director Kim Yong Wan also remarked, “Seong A and Gyeon U’s love grows deeper, which makes their longing for each other even more intense. I think viewers will also empathize with the choices Bong Soo and Yeom Hwa make. Please look forward to the emotional and exciting finale of ‘Head Over Heels.’”
