Son Ye Jin and Jo Yuri are set to star in the new drama “Variety”!
“Variety” follows Sae Eun, the CEO of an entertainment company who created South Korea’s top idol group, and Seung Hee, an obsessive fan who follows them. The Netflix series explores the desires of the people surrounding them.
The series will be directed and written by Kim Yong Hoon, who received praise from both critics and audiences for the Netflix series “Mask Girl” and the film “Beasts Clawing at Straws.”
Son Ye Jin, known for her unmatched ability to fully embody her characters and enhance immersion into a project, will play Sae Eun, the CEO of South Korea’s top entertainment agency. Sae Eun has exceptional planning skills and does not hesitate to make cool-headed decisions to achieve her goals. She is willing to risk everything to renew the contract with the idol group she personally built from the ground up.
Jo Yuri, who made a strong impression in Seasons 2 and 3 of “Squid Game,” will play Seung Hee, an obsessive fan. Seung Hee is a character who will stop at nothing to meet her favorite idol, obsessively tracking their every move.
In addition, a mix of veteran and rookie actors has been cast as the people surrounding Sae Eun and Seung Hee, raising expectations for a dynamic, varied ensemble performance.
