“The First Night with the Duke” has hinted at a life-threatening crisis for Seohyun’s character!
“The First Night with the Duke” is a fantasy romance drama about an ordinary college student whose soul is transported into a minor character in a romance novel, Cha Sun Chaek (Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun). After waking up in the world of the novel, she ends up spending the night with the obsessive male lead, Yi Beon (2PM’s Taecyeon).

In the newly released stills, the once-prosperous family of Prime Minister Cha and his youngest daughter Cha Sun Chaek are shown bound and dressed in white burial robes. Sun Chaek, with a look of utter despair, tightly closes her eyes as a sword is pressed against her throat while her family watches in horror. What could have led to this dire situation?
Meanwhile, Yi Gyu (Lee Tae Sun) observes the scene with a chilling smile and calm confidence. As Yi Gyu’s villainy intensifies—threatening not only Yi Beon but also Sun Chaek and her family—viewers are left wondering: Will Sun Chaek’s journey end in tragedy?
