MBC’s upcoming drama “Mary Kills People” has released new stills ahead of its upcoming premiere!

“Mary Kills People” follows the story of Woo So Jung (Lee Bo Young), an ER doctor who illegally assists terminally ill patients with euthanasia, and a detective who tracks her down. Lee Min Ki plays Jo Hyun Woo, a terminal cancer patient with no remaining treatment options.

Kang Ki Young plays Choi Dae Hyun, a former plastic surgeon who harbors unrequited love for Woo So Jung and balances warmth with a serious demeanor.

The newly unveiled stills capture the first tense encounter between these three characters. In the scene, Woo So Jung and Choi Dae Hyun sit on a bench waiting when Jo Hyun Woo arrives on his motorcycle.

After stopping and removing his helmet, Jo Hyun Woo walks over with an indifferent yet complex expression. Woo So Jung eyes him warily as she carefully initiates conversation, while Choi Dae Hyun greets him brightly with a smile carrying an unreadable meaning.

What consequences will follow from this fateful meeting between a doctor who assists death, her accomplice, and a terminal patient who has chosen death?

Reflecting on filming their first scenes together, Lee Bo Young shared, “The acting chemistry was amazing. I had so much fun filming with each actor.” Lee Min Ki added, “Since I’m the youngest, I felt comfortable. Both of them are so talented, so I worked even harder to keep up.”

Kang Ki Young also shared his thoughts, saying, “It’s always exciting to finally work alongside seniors and colleagues I’ve watched on screen for so long.” He added, “Not only were the moments captured on camera memorable, but even off-camera, I was happy. The atmosphere on set was truly enjoyable.”

“Mary Kills People” is set to premiere on August 1 at 10 p.m. KST.
