Channel A’s upcoming drama “My Lovely Journey” has unveiled new character posters!
Based on a bestselling Japanese novel by Maha Harada, “My Lovely Journey” follows Kang Yeo Reum (Gong Seung Yeon), a former idol-turned-travel reporter who has never been the center of attention in her life. As she takes on travel assignments on behalf of others, she embarks on a journey of self-discovery, coming to understand the true meaning of success and life.
In the newly released posters, the five actors are fully immersed in their roles against a backdrop of lush nature, building anticipation for the drama.
Gong Seung Yeon, who plays Kang Yeo Reum, a former idol turned travel reporter, immediately draws attention with a radiant smile as she holds a camera under the warm sunlight. Her bright, sunshine-like smile conveys a gentle warmth and clearly reflects her personality of always reaching out to others with sincerity.
Yoo Joon Sang, who plays Oh Sang Sik, the CEO of Ogu Entertainment, is seen smiling warmly under a green tree. Dressed in a brightly colored shirt and tie, Sang Sik completes a polished look. His signature warmth shines through his eyes, revealing his grounded charm. The boxing gloves draped around his neck symbolize his turbulent journey—from boxer to manager and then to entertainment company CEO—adding depth and richness to his character.
Next is Kim Jae Young’s character poster, which makes a strong impression as he sits comfortably in a chair, gazing directly into the camera. His relaxed posture suggests ease, but the depth in his eyes hints at a deeper, untold story. The poster offers a glimpse into the complex inner world of Lee Yeon Seok, an elite engineering graduate from a prestigious university who chose to follow his dream of becoming a film director, further sparking curiosity about the character.
Hong Soo Hyun commands attention as she holds approval documents and wears a crisp shirt, embodying the poised presence of a finance director at Ogu Entertainment. Like her character Ha Na, who blends once-held dreams of becoming an actress, striking beauty, and blunt honesty into a distinct charisma, Hong Soo Hyun’s expression radiates intensity. At the same time, it reflects an enduring affection for Ogu Entertainment, which she has loyally supported over the years, rising from the accounting team to the role of finance director.
Lastly, Oh Hyun Joong, who plays Hyun Ba Ram, the multitasker responsible for most of the day to day operations at Ogu Entertainment, appears seated with his legs crossed under a tree, hands gently pressed together in a prayerlike pose. His free-spirited style embody the personality of Gen Z, perfectly capturing his unique lifestyle. As a free spirit who enjoys life’s simple pleasures while dreaming of the great joy of traveling the world, Oh Hyun Joong’s presence in the poster radiates calm and comfort.
“My Lovely Journey” is set to premiere on August 2 at 9:20 p.m. KST.
