“…This is totally scammy.”
When announced, the two-day “MADLY MEDLEY” festival, which will be held at Paradise City in Incheon in October 2025, gained a lot of attention for its lineup of “every genre possible for everyone.” But the festival got some real spotlight after its “1%” ticket tier (and its price) was revealed.
The “1% Ticket,” which covers both days of the festival, costs a whopping ₩8.88 million KRW (about $6,440 USD). It is said to offer the ticket holders some unique perks, like giving them their own gates for entering and exiting the venue, exclusive lounge areas near the main stage, and even rights to watch the show on the stage.

“1. Exclusive gates for entering and exiting
2. Exclusive lounge near main stage
3. Viewing experience on the main stage
4. Exclusive F&B booth
5. Unlimited drinks
6. Official merchandise
7. Afterparty invite”
As expected, the hefty price tag has gone viral online and triggered some strong reactions.
Some questioned whether there is any demand for such a prestigious ticket tier for a festival that is more of a mixed bag of random artists.

- “Maybe they accidentally added an extra zero?”
- Even if they all sang a serenade to me in the middle of the stage, I don’t think I could pay that price.”
- “I better get Lady Gaga and Swift as headliners with unlimited Dom Pérignon, plus a mini fansign and a Polaroid with the artists… That’s the kind of benefits you’d need to even come close to justifying that price.”
- “????”
- “I saw ₩8.88 million KRW (about $6,440 USD) and thought they’d at least throw in a suite at the hotel or something.”
Others believe, given the repeating 8s in the price, that G-Dragon might be headlining the festival—which then could maybe explain the possible demand.

- “G-Dragon must be the headliner.”
- “People pay hundreds for VIP spots at WATERBOMB too, so I guess stuff like this might still sell.”
- “What the hell?”
- “What’s so special about this festival to justify that price… Rounded up, it’s basically ₩9.00 million KRW (about $6,530 USD).”
- “Who’s… gonna… buy that…?”
- “…?”
- “Wait, really? G-Dragon??? Then they really might’ve priced it at 8.88 million as a hint…”
- “If it really is GD, then it’s clearly targeting his Chinese fans… LOL. This is totally scammy.”
Regardless, netizens aren’t sure about the “money grab.”

- “Okay, but if G-Dragon really does headline, his international fans are 100% going to buy it.”
- “The repeating 8s feel like they’re targeting Chinese buyers—since they love the number 8.”
- “Kinda shady…”
- “Feels like a pricing mistake…”
- “If G-Dragon shows up at the afterparty, then… I’d want to buy it.”
- “Looks like this tier is really for sale? The perks are so intense it feels like they’re hoping at least one person will fall for it.”
Stay tuned to find out the final lineup!
