The viral post has triggered heated comments.
Dating speculation surrounding RIIZE’s Wonbin and aespa’s Giselle has flared up once again, this time due to a seemingly small detail: the repeated use of the “eye roll” emoji.

A viral post on Pann compiled recent uses of the emoji from both Wonbin and Giselle. The post gained viral attention and became one of the hottest topics of the day.

The first instance is Wonbin clarifying why he has used the emoji so much during a fan signing event from September 2023.

Fan: “Wonbin, why do you keep using that emoji?”
Wonbin: “It’s kind of the vibe I give off… People say it looks like me.”
Around the same time, fans noted that Giselle had also been using the same emoji often in her fan communication, including on Bubble.

Giselle: “This is just who I am.”
Giselle: “ㅋㅋ Good night for real.”
Giselle: “Seriously, thank you. Always.”
Both stars are more often than not spotted using the emoji in replies to fans on Weverse as well.

The use of the moji alone seems entirely coincidental but it has fueled renewed speculation due to the pair’s history of being at the center of similar rumors. In the past, similar viral posts pointed out that the two idols had allegedly used similar phrases in their messages to fans. Others claimed they had been spotted wearing “couple items.”

However, the viral post has sparked heated reactions from many netizens and a massive online debate. As of now, netizens consider these rumors absurd. Some have even hinted the constant dating rumors surrounding the two may be forced by a rival agency.

- “This f**ker’s just mad because it’s not Wonbin and Giselle LOL. Does he think only Wonbin can use that emoji? I’m so tired of this now, seriously. How long are you gonna keep deluding yourself? It’s honestly just pathetic at this point. Wonbin already said it’s not true, no one believes you anymore. You’re mentally unwell. Go ahead and play by yourself. I don’t even feel anything anymore. Time to block you.”
- “????”
- “???”
- “With RIIZE’s mystery truck protest, aespa hate posts hitting the trending board, and now this post too, it really feels like that company’s doing some shady work behind the scenes LOL.”
- “By your logic, you’re dating that 150kg sweaty guy over there LOL.”
While neither SM Entertainment nor the idols themselves have responded to the latest round of rumors, fans continue to debate online.
