Over the years, BLACKPINK’s Jennie and Red Velvet’s Irene have quietly built one of the most admired friendships in K-Pop. Known for their visuals and talents, the two idols have often been linked through behind-the-scenes stories, past livestream interactions, and surprise concert appearances.
Most recently, their friendship is once again the center of attention following a new viral post on the popular Korean forum Pann.
The post, which has already attracted more than 42,000 views, shared a fan account of seeing Jennie, Rosé, Irene, and Seulgi together at a popular restaurant in Cheongdam.

The timing of the post has added to the excitement. Irene and Seulgi were spotted attending BLACKPINK’s concert just the day before, with fans pointing out how rare it is to see idol friendships continuing to spend time together after so many years.

Despite their busy solo schedules — with Irene and Seulgi having performed their own concert in Singapore just a day before attending BLACKPINK’s — fans are glad to see the two groups maintaining their bond. Nicknamed “BlackVelvet” by fans, the friendship between members of BLACKPINK and Red Velvet remains a nostalgic and meaningful connection for many longtime fans, especially between Jennie and Irene.
