SBS’s upcoming comedy sports drama “The Winning Try” has unveiled new character posters!
“The Winning Try” tells the story of Joo Ga Ram (Yoon Kye Sang), a former rugby star who falls from grace due to a doping scandal. Years later, he returns to his alma mater as the new coach of its bottom-ranked high school rugby team and leads the underdog squad on a quest to win the National Sports Festival.
The newly released posters highlight the confident gazes of Joo Ga Ram, Bae Yi Ji (Im Se Mi), and Yoon Sung Joon (Kim Yo Han) as each boldly faces the rumors and opinions surrounding them in their own way.
First, Hanyang Physical Education High School’s eccentric coach, Joo Ga Ram, exudes cheerful charm regardless of what others say. He confronts the rumors about him with wit and ease. His relaxed expression as he casually blows soap bubbles highlights his composure, while his ability to brush off judgment with a smile builds anticipation for how his mental strength will shine as the coach of the school’s long-struggling rugby team.
Bae Yi Ji, the player coach of Hanyang Physical Education High School’s shooting team and Joo Ga Ram’s ex-girlfriend, confidently confronts adversity as she aims her rifle at baseless rumors. Her determined gaze reflects her strong mindset as she strives to remain composed amid competition with students and speculation surrounding her past relationship, raising expectations for her character’s resilience.
Lastly, Yoon Sung Joon rises above the criticism directed at him, staying true to his identity as a rugby player who gives his all in every match. His scratched cheek and fierce, predator-like gaze reveal a rebellious yet commanding presence, heightening anticipation for his charisma as captain of the rugby team.
