It’s a new month, and that means new K-Dramas! Here are 9 to add to your list.
1. Bitch x Rich 2 – July 3
Like Season 1, this high-stakes thriller is set at an elite high school that explores the complicated and dangerous dynamics between a transfer student and the school’s queen bee. New twists, turns, and characters promise to keep viewers on the edge of their seats this season.
2. Law and The City – July 5
Lee Jong Suk returns in the legal drama about a group of attorneys working in Seocho, one of the richest neighborhoods in Seoul.
3. S-Line – July 11
If you like thrillers mixed with fantasy, this could be the show for you. What if the most intimate details of your life were suddenly visible to the world? That’s exactly what happens in S-Line, when mystical red lines appear, each one connecting people to their past and present lovers. Glasses that allow people to see these lines suddenly appear on the black market, prompting a woman–who can see the lines without glasses–to team up with an investigating detective.
4. Low Life – July 16
Disney+ has become known for its crime K-Dramas, and now it’s adding a new one to the platform. Low Life takes place in 1977 Korea, following a group of fortune hunters as they try to recover a sunken treasure ship–before other people get to it first.
5. The Nice Guy – July 18
Lee Dong Wook and Lee Sung Kyung star in this K-Drama about a pure-hearted man born into a family of gangsters and an aspiring singer, his first love.
6. The Defects – July 21
“The Defects” is an upcoming action thriller K-Drama that’s based on a webtoon. It tells the story of a doctor who secretly owns an illegal adoption agency. It’s run by Jung Hyeon (played by Single Inferno’s Dex). She holds the twisted belief that only children with perfect genes deserve to live. If an “imperfect” child is returned to the agency, the agency destroys the “evidence.” Now, one of the returned children who survived is rising up to take the agency–and the doctor behind it–down for good.
7. My Girlfriend is the Man! – July 23
In this webtoon-based romantic comedy, love doesn’t exactly go as planned. A male college student’s girlfriend suddenly transforms into a man, and…well, if you’d better tune in to find out what happens next!
8. The Winning Try – July 25
A disgraced rugby star returns to his school years after a doping scandal ends his illustrious career. There, he’s determined to help the school’s worst rugby squad win the National Sports Festival.
9. Trigger – July 25
If you’re looking for a Netflix series to binge all at once, check out Trigger on July 25. It’s an action-thriller about a cop and his mysterious partner who are determined to stop illegal guns from flooding into South Korea.
