tvN’s “Law and The City” is a new drama that follows five associate attorneys—Ahn Ju Hyeong (Lee Jong Suk), Kang Hui Ji (Mun Ka Young), Cho Chang Won (Kang You Seok), Bae Mun Jeong (Ryu Hye Young), and Ha Sang Gi (Im Seong Jae)—as they navigate the challenges and triumphs of their daily lives. These salaried lawyers, employed by law firms, commute each day to the bustling legal district of Seocho.
In the upcoming first episode of the drama, Ahn Ju Hyeong will cross paths with an eager rookie attorney (played by Kim Do Hoon) in the courtroom. A cool-headed and talented lawyer with nine years of experience, Ahn Ju Hyeong is utterly calm as he arrives at the courthouse. For a jaded veteran who has stood in court hundreds of times, this day is just like any other.
However, in contrast to Ahn Ju Hyeong’s composure and unreadable poker face, the rookie lawyer can’t hide his nerves as he approaches the trial full of determination.
As soon as the trial begins, Ahn Ju Hyeong’s skill and experience shine as he efficiently handles the case without any unnecessary effort. And not only does he easily overpower his less experienced opponent, but he also helps out the younger lawyer by giving him some much-needed advice.
According to the drama’s production team, Ahn Ju Hyeong’s experience meeting this rookie will become an opportunity for him to look back on his own nine-year career.
“Law and the City” premieres on July 5 at 9:20 p.m. KST and will be available to watch on Viki.
