“Omniscient Reader” has unveiled a striking new poster!
Based on the popular web novel of the same name, “Omniscient Reader” will tell the story of Kim Dok Ja (Ahn Hyo Seop), who suddenly finds himself living in the world of a fantasy novel he was reading. Armed with the knowledge of what happened in the novel, Kim Dok Ja sets out to save the world from ending. Lee Min Ho stars as Yoo Joong Hyuk, the protagonist from the novel that Kim Dok Ja read.
The newly released special poster, set against the backdrop of a subway platform, shows Kim Dok Ja with a determined expression. Standing beside him are Yoo Joong Hyuk, the novel’s central character, along with teammates Yoo Sang Ah (Chae Soo Bin), Lee Hyun Sung (Shin Seung Ho), Jung Hee Won (Nana), Lee Ji Hye (BLACKPINK’s Jisoo), and Lee Gil Young (Kwon Eun Seong). A scenario window appears in front of the group, revealing a chaotic scene and fueling curiosity about the challenges and narratives that lie ahead.
The tagline, “The novel only I know has become reality,” deepens the immersion, making the abrupt shift from reality to fiction feel all the more vivid. It builds excitement over how Kim Dok Ja and his companions will strategize and what kind of ending they’ll create as they fight to survive in an unpredictable storyline.
The explosive synergy among the characters is just as compelling. Kim Dok Ja, the sole reader who knows the ending of a novel serialized for over a decade, and Yoo Joong Hyuk, the lone survivor within that narrative, stand out with intense expressions. Their contrasting journeys—Yoo Joong Hyuk, hardened by countless regressions, and Kim Dok Ja, who once admired him—set the stage for a powerful alliance.
Viewers are also eager to see the unique skills each character brings to life, reflecting their individual traits. Yoo Sang Ah, seen in a brightly colored coat earned as a reward, uses a skill that allows her to freely create and manipulate silk threads. Lee Hyun Sung, known for his tremendous strength, deploys a shield-based defense skill to survive life-or-death situations.
Jung Hee Won and Lee Ji Hye, signaling the rise of new action heroines with their formidable combat skills, showcase signature moves that highlight their distinct abilities. Meanwhile, Lee Gil Young stands out with a rare skill that allows him to communicate with insects, making his presence all the more unforgettable.
