She revealed all the details.
Actress Park Gyu Young has addressed the controversy surrounding her accidental spoiler of Squid Game, including speculation that she faced a heavy penalty fee from Netflix for the mistake.

During a recent interview with Sports Chosun, Park opened up about the backlash she faced after sharing a behind-the-scenes photo of actor Lee Jin Wook dressed in a “pink guard” uniform.
The post, uploaded to her personal social media account, sparked widespread spoiler concerns and disappointment among fans. Many believed the image gave away a major plot point for the now-released Squid Game 3.

Before the interview officially began, Park expressed regret over how she handled the situation.
Over the past few months, I feel like I’ve shown a disappointing side of myself. Some of you may have felt let down. But since I have the chance to speak face-to-face today, I want to take this opportunity to finally address some of the questions I’ve avoided out of concern they might negatively affect the project.
I think I really disappointed a lot of people because of the spoiler issue on social media. I received questions about it at the press conference, but I don’t think I answered properly back then. I’d like to use this moment to explain.

Park explained that she had immediately contacted the production team, director Hwang Dong Hyuk, and co-star Lee Jin Wook to apologize.
As soon as I posted the photo, I reached out to the production team, the director, and senior actor Lee Jin Wook to apologize. The director told me, ‘Let’s make sure something like this never happens again.’ Although Jin Wook sunbae said he was totally fine, I spent a long time reflecting on my immaturity and lack of responsibility. Even though I was forgiven, I took time to seriously self-reflect.
I contacted [Lee Jin Wook] immediately after it happened, and he actually comforted me with a bit of humor, saying he was grateful for the extra attention. I felt even more sorry and thankful. When I saw how hard he tried to comfort me at the press event, I just felt terrible and full of gratitude.

When asked about rumors surrounding a massive penalty fee from Netflix, the actress responded cautiously.
I can’t speak in detail about contract matters, but rather than focusing on penalties, the emphasis was more on making sure nothing like this happens again. There were some guidelines to be careful about revealing things from the set, but there was no mention of a penalty fee, and I want to be careful about how I say that.

Despite the spoiler, Squid Game 3 has seen tremendous success. Within three days of its June 27 release, it topped Netflix’s Global Top 10 and ranked #1 in all 93 countries where Netflix charts are measured.
