Fans have asked the company to take action.
In the world of Korean celebrities, stalker fans, commonly referred to as sasaeng fans, are known for their obsessive and invasive behavior, crossing boundaries by stalking idols, leaking personal information, and sometimes even endangering their safety.
Sasaeng Fan Goes To Extreme Measures To Expose ENHYPEN Heeseung’s Address
Recently, a fourth generation idol shared chilling messages about her experiences with a sasaeng recently.
In 2022, the girl group ILY:1 made their debut with “Love Bloom.” Most recently, the group shut down rumors of disbandment circulating following a recent concert.

On July 8, member Rona shared several updates on the fan chatting platform Bubble, revealing her current issue with a saesang fan. Rona stated that the fan found her phone number, address, and even came to where she lives, in addition to spreading her personal information to others.

I’ve always thought of Only:1 as truly close friends and family, so I shared my daily life with you all. I talked about good things, fun things, what I did today — everything. But I didn’t know that doing that would lead to my personal information leaking. People now know my phone number, where I live, our schedule… they even came to see me and found out personal details about me, and now they’re telling others…I’m really scared and don’t know what to do…I know I should always try to be careful with everything I say and do, so I’m really sorry that it ended up like this…
— Rona
Rona expresses fear over the situation, before apologizing and asking for this sort of behavior to stop.
It’s true that I should’ve been more careful,
but I really hope this doesn’t happen again. I wish it would stop. Even if you did it out of affection, this isn’t right…I really love Korea, and I wanted to be here for a long time, but now Korea feels so scary. My hands are still shaking from fear… Because of this, I’m scared of growing distant from Only:1 too.
I don’t want to become emotionally distant. Please, I’m begging you. I’m really scared.I know that you like me as an idol, that you send letters and gifts with beautiful hearts, and that you spend your time and money for me — I really do. I’m always thankful and sorry at the same time. But still… this isn’t right. Of course, if I had been more cautious, this wouldn’t have happened. I’ll reflect deeply from now on. I’m sorry.
— Rona
Fans have asked FCENM, the group’s company, to take action and work towards protecting Rona and the other members from such invasions of privacy.
