tvN’s “Head Over Heels”is heading toward its conclusion!

“Head Over Heels” is a fantasy romance drama about a boy who is fated to die and the young shaman who tries to rescue him from his fate. Cho Yi Hyun stars as Park Seong A, a high school student who leads a double life as a shaman by night. Choo Young Woo plays her first love Bae Gyeon U, who is plagued by bad luck and was born with the misfortune of a predestined death.

With just two episodes left, here are three key points to look forward to in the finale:

    1. Park Seong A and Gyeon U’s Relationship

Despite the warning from a shaman that Bae Gyeon U must never become entangled with spirits or shed blood, he ended up having his body completely taken over by a ghost. The vengeful spirit Bong Soo, having fully possessed his body, pretended to be Gyeon U. As expected, Park Seong A was the first to notice something was wrong.

She grew suspicious when he skipped his usual archery routine. When she asked where the real Bae Gyeon U was, Bong Soo replied coldly that he had devoured him—leaving Seong A in shock. Despite this possession crisis, the bond between Seong A and Gyeon U remained unshaken—until Bong Soo’s rampage threw them into yet another trial.

Will Park Seong A and Bae Gyeon U be able to defy fate and achieve a happy ending?

    2. Whether Seong A Can Send Off Bong Soo’s Soul and Save Gyeon U

With Yeom Hwa (Choo Ja Hyun’s) help, Bong Soo took control of Bae Gyeon U’s body, but he didn’t want to become an evil spirit as planned. He revealed the real reason he took over Gyeon U’s body: to live as a human. Realizing that Bong Soo just wanted to be loved, Dong Cheon (Kim Mi Kyung) advised Park Seong A not to hate him too much but to look into his heart, hinting that protecting Gyeon U might also mean protecting Bong Soo.

Seong A believed that guiding Bong Soo’s soul to the afterlife was the way to save everyone. But Bong Soo, who wanted to stay by her side, was hurt by her plan. Yeom Hwa exploited his wounded heart, which ultimately led to his full-blown rampage.

An unimaginable twist followed when Yeom Hwa got hold of the silver ring that had harbored Bong Soo’s spirit and summoned a Grim Reaper. However, the Grim Reaper took Dong Cheon instead of Bong Soo or Yeom Hwa.

Though Bong Soo never wanted to become an evil spirit, he ironically met all the conditions to become one with Dong Cheon’s death. Now the question is: will Park Seong A be able to send Bong Soo off and bring Gyeon U back? Who stays and who disappears between Gyeon U and Bong Soo is set to be the biggest highlight of the finale.

    3. The Aftermath of Dong Cheon’s Passing

Dong Cheon protected Yeom Hwa until the very end. Yeom Hwa, who had been serving as a vessel for evil spirits, belatedly realized Dong Cheon’s true intentions behind performing the cleansing ritual for her. Realizing that Dong Cheon not only became a human talisman to protect her but was also prepared to sacrifice her life left Yeom Hwa devastated.

All eyes are now on what Yeom Hwa—who once tried to sacrifice Gyeon U to turn Bong Soo into a deity—will do after Dong Cheon’s death. Above all, attention is focused on the next move of Park Seong A, whose anger is at its peak due to Dong Cheon’s death.

Director Kim Yong Wan commented, “Seong A and Gyeon U’s love deepens, making their longing for each other even stronger. I believe viewers will also empathize with the struggles and choices of Bong Soo and Yeom Hwa. Please tune in to the interesting and entertaining finale of ‘Head Over Heels.’”

The next episode of “Head Over Heels” will air on July 28 at 8:50 p.m. KST.
