KBS2’s “The First Night with the Duke” has dropped new stills ahead of the upcoming episode!
“The First Night with the Duke” is a fantasy romance drama about an ordinary college student whose soul is transported into a minor character in a romance novel, Cha Sun Chaek (Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun). After waking up in the world of the novel, she ends up spending the night with the obsessive male lead, Yi Beon (2PM’s Taecyeon).

Previously in “The First Night with the Duke,” after a long and winding journey, Sun Chaek and Yi Beon finally confirmed their feelings for each other and, after overcoming many hurdles, received permission to marry. But their happiness was short-lived—Sun Chaek, who went to meet Yi Beon after receiving his letter, was abducted by a mysterious assailant, plunging her into yet another life-threatening crisis.
Upon hearing the belated news of Sun Chaek’s disappearance, Yi Beon begins searching for her. He senses danger when he finds Sun Chaek’s jade bracelet at the meeting spot. As unpredictable threats continue to disrupt their relationship, Yi Beon goes on a rampage to protect Sun Chaek.
The released photos show Yi Beon exuding a terrifying aura as if he has reverted to his old cold-blooded self. In one photo, he is seen combing through a dark forest with a torch in hand; in another, he is captured beside a bed, burning a letter with an intense gaze.
The rage on his face hints that Yi Beon, who momentarily softened during his sweet romance with Sun Chaek, has returned to his old cold-blooded self, heightening the tension. It remains to be seen whether Yi Beon can save Sun Chaek from danger once again and protect their love.
